2-Minute Photo Challenge Ft. Linton

What can you do in 2 minutes?

Linton is working on his social media presence and wanted any chance to take photos. We were in Cleveland working together with very limited time. We have been trying to find pockets of time to do some run and gun photography.

In between check-ins with students and running around working on programming for the camp, I had a quick idea to take some shots in front of a brick wall within the CIM building. I love the color of the wall and wanted to take a couple of shots of Linton in front of it. I used my Nikon SB-700 flash and just bounced it off the ceiling to get a little bit of light in the hallway.

This challenge was a little more difficult due to lighting. I didn’t have my external flash on me at the time. I did use the on-camera flash just to get a little bit of light spilled onto him, but it hit him more at his torso and shoulders than his face. I didn’t want to go much higher with my flash because I didn’t want to get any reflection off of his eyes. I did boost the ISO due to the quickly falling light. I did use a larger aperture more so to blur the background than to let in more light. I also did some basic editing to lighten up the photos.

Hey, for 2 minutes, it’s not so bad…
