NYC has PTSD. It’s really unfortunate. Every location I went to this morning, security was staring at me. When either I or they approached me, they told me that I needed to stop taking pictures.
I get it, security has reasons. In their minds, I might be casing out the place. They can’t take chances. The only thing that bothers me about it is all of the people that take selfies or pictures of their friends throughout the day, and yet… here I am with one camera taking a picture of myself and I might be doing something nefarious.
Chicago is like this as well, and I’m sure most major cities are as well. You can’t take chances anymore.
I wish it were different.
