Just as Coved-19 was starting, Maria and Justin were on the verge of moving to the suburbs while also planning a wedding. As lifelong Chicagoans, they try to maintain their Chicago cred while living in their new home through their love Chicago-based artists. Though the pandemic has postponed their wedding, they are trying to stay positive. Both feel blessed and grateful and are counting the days to when they are able to see their family and friends again.

Maria and I’s lives were intertwined before we even met. She attended the high school that my mother and god mother worked at. We met in grad school. Maria drove me crazy, but in the most loving way. What I learned about Maria during my time in class with her is that she is caring and compassionate. She is selfless and always thinks of others. She has the ability to inject energy into any room she enters.
