Proud Latina and Pilsen Resident. I am a living kidney donor. I am blessed that I had the opportunity to donate to my pops. I try to be candid about my experience in the hopes I can help others going through the same process feel supported/understood. During these times it can be stressful to continue to work in high traffic spaces, but it’s rewarding to see the positive influence I have on students. I hope to continue to support students and be a resource for them in my future career. In my very little spare time (outside of school and work) I enjoy attending social dances, creating mosaics, and going to the gym.
Bella
I met Bella when I was interning at The NEST at NEIU. My first impressions of her were that she was happy, bubbly, and funny. Now, we are in the same cohort for the ENLACE program at NEIU. She decided to (temporarily) leave the world of biology to pursue a master’s of higher education.
She brings strong insight, and a deep sense of research to the program… and continues to bring her bubbly personality.
