“If I didn’t grow up in Chicago I don’t know if I would be the person I am today. And I surely wouldn’t be who I am without my Family.”
The Ghilarducci family have lived throughout the north side but Old Irving Park will forever be home. They moved back here 20 years ago when Richard’s mother passed away and he took ownership of the home he grew up in that has been in the family for 69 years. Quarantine has definitely strengthened this family as Richard became ill during this time. This photo was actually taken the day before he had open-heart surgery. Richard is semi-retired, takes great pride in his lawn, and can name any classic car you see on the street. Denise’s motto “too blessed to be stressed” is truly who she is – always smiling and loves her family, and she makes some mean BBQ ribs. Daughters Adrianna and Vanessa are the entertainment. Adrianna is a feisty entrepreneur that owns an eyebrow business. Vanessa is a very talented pastry chef who’s work supports a local non-profit bakery. And Rosey, well she is obviously a dog model and just waiting for her next treat.
