Blam! Recording has been a staple of the Chicago music scene for over 30 years. Headed by Sean Morrison, different genres have come through the studio to hone their sound. Blam Recording has been able to merge the energy of a musician’s live sound with the precision and cleanliness of a recording studio sound. Varying genres have come through the studio, from gospel, jazz, punk, ska, post-rock, and so many more.
Blam Recording has also helped Radio One Chicago with many different initiatives, from their most recent endeavor in podcasting, to having Chicago bands play live sets. Blam Recording’s importance in the Chicago music scene is often overlooked, but an important part of Chicago’s music hsitory.
