Studio Lighting Class #1

I decided to take a studio lighting class as I’ve never had the opportunity to use lighting in my pictures before. I’m hoping to learn how to use the settings on my camera better, and to adjust for room lighting while also using studio lighting.

The first thing that I learned was to switch to manual lighting exposure. While I normally shoot everything in manual, I have always left the exposure setting to automatic. The professor challenged me to start setting it to manual to capture more of the natural tones that come from the different source of light.
