A Chicago native of Mexican and Cuban descent meets a Mexican born Chicago girl and together they later create a beautiful IVF baby. Now, proud suburbanites, Rafael and Diana have spent almost two decades growing together and trying to find their own rhythm as they work hard for a better tomorrow.

This pandemic has significantly increased the demands of their work with public safety and in higher education. While juggling remote work, college courses, and pre-k, they have thrown routines out the window. Remembering to eat every day and to step outside for a glimpse of sunshine are the current priorities.
They are thankful for books, music, tv, and the ability to stay connected with friends. Most importantly, they are grateful for their health and safety.
