This was my first attempt at product photography for Cannabis Cain. He has been growing for personal reasons and wanted to have some photos to show off.
I used a three light set up in order to take the photos. I used my Nikon SB-700, and two Amazon Basics Speedlites.
We placed the plants in a glass vase in order for them to stand up. We placed the vase on a short table which we had in front of a white wall. Under the table I aimed one of the Amazon speedlight at the wall in order to get a bright white background. Off to the right hand side I added another Amazon speedlight aimed directly at the plant. I then used my Nikon SB-700 on the camera aimed at the ceiling. Since the ceiling was white, I knew the bounce of the flash would fill in the remaining light that is needed.
Minimal editing was done in Lightroom. The photos came out just slightly over exposed, so I evened out the exposure.
