I was given the opportunity to document a Saturday afternoon at Kim’s dance studio. She was hosting a group of people who were there to learn about her lifestyle. Kim has changed a lot of her life to try to become more healthy. Kim has switched to a predominantly vegetarian diet and uses dance as a form of exercise and mental health.
Kims started the afternoon off by discussing part of her life, why nutrition and dance have become such an important part it. Much of the conversation circled around maintaining a healthy lifestyle while struggling with vices.
Kim continued the afternoon off with some basic dance moves. Just like any art form, there are basic moves that one should know that are translatable to other genres of dance.
After going through a few routines she had everyone crowd around her kitchen Where she showed her guests how to make different variations of a go to recipe.
